How Can We Monetize a Video on Facebook?

If you’re publishing video content on Facebook, you could be eligible to make money through in-stream ads. To use this type of monetization, you need to meet several requirements, like having a well-established presence with 10,000 Page followers.

Facebook recently announced that the creators can now earn money with a minimally interruptive ad running at 30 seconds in a one minute long video. Previously only three-minute or longer videos could monetize with in-stream ads, with an ad shown no earlier than 1 minute.

To monetize your videos on Facebook, you must satisfy their Partner Monetization Policies. To do this, you must comply with their Community Standards, Payment Terms, Page Terms and Content Monetization Policies.

## **In other words, RTFM **

My accnt rep at FB has warned me about AI use in some regards. Supposedly they will be launching a new set of policies, and updated policies, for ads and funnels as well as member use in posts. He thinks this will be public in the next few months.

I guess you can. But it should be in-stream ads, collabs with brands, or like example to have rights for your video and if someone will use it to earn money. But important - the facebook page must have some amount of followers, views, and likes. It is almost the same idea as in TikTok.

Monetizing a video on Facebook can be done through several strategies. Here are some effective methods:

  • Join the Facebook Creators program and enable in-stream ads on your videos. Your videos must meet certain criteria, like having at least 10,000 followers and 600,000 total minutes viewed in the last 60 days.
  • You can start Fan Subscriptions by offering exclusive content to fans who subscribe for a monthly fee.
  • Partner with brands to create sponsored videos.
  • Use videos to showcase and promote your products or merchandise.
  • Direct viewers to your online store or use Facebook Shops to facilitate sales directly from your videos.
  • Drive traffic from your Facebook videos to other monetized platforms, like YouTube or Patreon, where you can earn through ads, subscriptions, or donations.
Make sure to consistently analyze your video performance and audience engagement to optimize your monetization strategies.
