Have worthwhile content content that real people (and better yet: authority sites) will link to.
It's very hard to find places to link where the link is not rel=nofollow
I get Googlebot and Bing following my links in Facebook and Twitter (posts) -- you might try that. My links in Twitter, 4000 of them (goBotgo
), are all 302 redirects but they do get followed.Too many for any SEO they are to a white label meta noindex so I don't care.

This is a question which anyone here would think as something really unwanted. Getting backlinks is not a big thing. You can get from social bookmarking, directories, forums and most important through guest posting. Guest blogging approach and getting your backlink on the required keyword would be a difficult thing.
