Good afternoon everyone! I appreciate all the welcome posts and helpful advice in the introduction forum. I have been reading and rereading the WIKI and it has some great information there. That said, the reason I am here in the help desk is because I am stuck in a decision-making cycle, unable to proceed.
I have add, and it has been a constant struggle to keep it in check. It leads me to hyper fixate on things and over research and over think, never getting started or taking way longer to start than needed. I am on meds but it is not a cure-all but it does help some.
Currently I have Joined Clickbank and am looking into other networks to join, though I am not sure which others are good for newbies. I heard some of them require extensive applications. One to get in, and then every product requires application.
What is causing me to not be able to move forward is deciding exactly where to start. I have a co-worker that is successfully making money with affiliate marketing via a blog and doing top 5 products. I didn't ask what networks she is on. She is making a few Thousand a month with it, which is exactly what I want income wise.
How ever when I look up affiliate marketing blogs and guides on making them, it seams very complicated. Apparently not all content should be marketing content, and should be regular informative content. I am not keen on the whole writing thing. I once did a 178,000 word Fan fiction and that was like having a second full time job. I can write, and a not against doing it, but I don't want to put in novel levels of effort again. Then I see things about creating links between articles and then backlinks and It feels overwhelming. Ahrefs youtube channel had a great series on Affiliate marketing via blogs and laid out how the content schedule could/should look like. IS there a good way to use paid ads to drive traffic to the blog? Do I drive traffic to the marketing posts or information posts, keeping in mind Google/Bing ruls?
I really just wanted to sign up to Getresponse, and have a pro on Fiverr build me a good Seo optimized website, and just use individual landing pages for the affiliate products I want to promote. I would be using paid traffic for that. This path seems like a simpler way to get started but has its own things causing me doubt. For one, setting up the landing pages so they are acceptable to Google/Bing adds is a bit daunting. It can't just be a redirection or simple bridge page but must provide value.
Do you guys have any tips and advice for setting up landing pages that are acceptable to Google/Bing ads rules?
As an absolute beginner, I know I just need to do it, fail and learn. It's just my mind is locked and I need a push. I want to start with the approach that is easiest for a newb to accomplish and build from there. I know at some point, I will be doing both ways but I just want to start with baby steps. So should I start with a blog or Review/best of landing pages?
Also, what about native advertising? Taboola and Outbrain and such. Are those worth the effort? They don't seem that expensive. Has anyone had luck with them?
Thanks for reading my wall of text, I greatly appreciate the assistance. I will keep poking around the forum to learn more.
