Is a soap opera sequence email necessary to make money?

Hi guys, is it absolutely necessary to use a S.O.S. email sequence to make money via email marketing? Russell Brunson and Andre Chaperone mentioned the power of SOS emails but I notice they're quite expensive to get written (for instance, on Fiverr).

Do single emails work instead?

For those of you who don't know, there are typically 3-5 emails in a SOS sequence

Email 1: Sets the stage
Email 2: High drama
Email 3 Epiphany
Email 4: Hidden benefits
Email 5: Urgency CTA

What do you guys think?

I wouldn't say it's necessary to have an exact SOS sequence and to send it separately, but it's definitely useful to make some kind of urgency in emails so that people see what they are missing if they don't purchase some product or hire some service. But, you can do that in all emails that you send and not just in some separate sequence as that way it would definitely sound more dramatic and wouldn't leave such a professional impression, so the combination of some urgency, quality CTAs and educative content could be a winning combination when it comes to emails.
