Hi Vitco. To me a landing page is an introductory of a complete site to come. Be sure that when you are coming up with the page, you involve in it the time they expect to have the full site in place. Be sure to place on it the links to social media where you can keep on the conversation. People will also judge your website based on the landing page you are having. Be therefore sure to design and develop an attractive and informative landing page. I have been using some ebooks from amazon and have been a great guide to me.

Why don't you try free sources like wix? This is pretty simple way to start landing building

I use adobe dreamweaver and its pretty handy. I love editing the codes as I learn so many things and makes me independent of any designer or developer whenever I wish to change any minor things. For coding help, google is my best friend. I get everything I need.
^ I double that. Instapage is a good choice, try it out!

If you're using Wordpress, I suggest Profit Builder plugin (ref link). I use it, and I don't know what I'd do without it.
