Microsoft's Vista sales power up

Microsoft, the world's largest software company, has sold close to 40 million copies of its new Vista operating system, chairman Bill Gates has said.
Mr Gates said sales had been quicker than Microsoft expected, and made Vista the firm's quickest selling software

I think the reason is because Vista was advertised and marketed more then XP was.

Yes, and maybe people are bored with XP, it has been few years already and we got used to get new windows more often...

I heard that Vista is Microsofts Last operating system so we probably won't see any more.

I think it might be true Temi

Microsoft are going to concentrate on their Windows Mobile and other software such as web development.

If they take over Yahoo, Microsoft will change quite a lot

But are they going to stop developing new OS, or just Windows OS series, I think I heard rumours that they worked on their own version of linux, and maybe they are planing to change the exploited approach to something new..? Dis you come across of any news or their public statements about it?
