Payouts reduced during Soldes period?

Does anyone have experience when working with a clothing brand that they have reduced the payouts during Soldes Period?

I assume you are seeing this happen with your commisions.

A sale is not complete until the buyer's payment is final technically.
Sellers are paid by payment processors in 48 hours (clean retail and not high-risk sellers) in 48hrs to 72hrs (generally).

If you are dealing with a pass-through payment by a network from a seller the holding period can vary and there are usually minimum payments required ex: $100 minimum (or some other amount. See `network offers` and terms of payments (your contract with the payer (affiliate program/network).

When you make a sale (conversion) it is not an instant payment to you --there are conditions.
Without seeing the contract terms between all of the parties to the transaction there is no real answer.

Good business practice is to make notice of any changes in terms, when they are unilateral (one-sided) --would be 30 days prior notice.

That is for reason;

1. Consumer fraud
2. Chargebacks, returns and agreed reversals of sales
3. Affiliate fraud
4. Better cash flow <<< this is a big item for some people

Yeah, my thought was that they're holding payment to wait and see if there's any fraud or chargebacks.

But again, hard to know since we don't know the company's payment terms.

Reduced means?

1. that the commission rate was changed from 6% downward to 5%?
2. or; that some sales were charged back (for reason)?
