I am shocked that POF sold for that amount of money, it is one of the ugliest sites I have ever seen. At least it was years ago.

A lot of marketers spend money on that site to advertise. That is probably the reason why it sold for so much. If it was not profitable it would have been sold for a lot less. POF has a very good advertising delivery that has a precise way to target specific customers.
