  5. We're waiting for your texts until 22/04/2019.

Target CPA for Push campaigns is here! It means that getting rid of poorly performing ad zones is not an exhausting manual process anymore. Read on to see how the power of auto-optimization can save your time and efforts.

What is a Target CPA?
In essence, Target CPA is an algorithm that automatically optimizes your CPM campaigns according to the target price per conversion you are willing to pay.

Forget about manual zone excluding. Set the desired price per conversion and focus on testing creatives. Zone optimization is on us!

How does Target CPA work?
The system analyzes every traffic source within your targeting criteria.

The algorithm finds all ad placements (zones), that are not bringing conversions or where conversion price exceeds your target CPA value and automatically excludes them from your traffic sources.

When the irrelevant zones are gone, you start getting the most conversions for the desired price you specified in the “Target CPA” field.

Once the campaign is up and running, the system starts collecting the statistics. This process usually takes at least an hour. If you decide to change the required price per conversion (your Target CPA), it would also require an hour for this change to be implemented.

The auto-optimization results will soon appear in your statistics. The best performing zones will get a small “fire” symbol and all poorly performing (excluded) zones will be marked with a “snowflake”.

What do you need to launch a Target CPA campaign?
No nuclear science here, but you’ll still need:

  • S2S (postback) tracking set up
  • Push Notifications ad campaign with CPM bidding model selected (for CPC – coming soon)
  • “Automatic optimization” enabled (“Countries & Bid” section in the campaign’s settings)
  • Target CPA (price per conversion) determined

How is it different?
Premium supply is a crème de la crème traffic from our best websites – news outlets, social and networking sites, other popular & niche web resources. This is an extremely quality Push traffic, and it ensures high conversions.

And because of its exceptional quality, there are certain peculiarities of working with this traffic:

  • The policy is more strict because premium publishers have preferences in terms of content they wish to be placed on their websites.
  • The ad frequency is lower – users will receive not more than two Push Notifications a day. More about ad frequency.
  • The recommended bids are higher – this traffic is proven to have higher conversion rates; therefore, the competition for these ad zones is stronger. To compete with other advertisers, you need to bid higher.

Regular campaigns VS. Premium campaigns
The most common question advertisers ask in regards to Premium traffic is “Why can’t I just launch a regular campaign with higher bids?”

Irina Razvodva, our Head of Sales, explains: “Premium websites participate in the rotation for regular campaigns, but they make up only around 20% of all traffic. How to set up a Premium campaign?
There are no significant differences in the campaign creation process. All you have to do is to tick the “Premium supply” box and set the correct bid, which should be higher than for your regular campaigns.

You cannot combine Premium traffic with User Activity targeting.

Compare: recommended bids for regular campaigns and recommended bids for Premium campaigns (same targeting in both cases).

I read different guides, and still messed up, how and where have I put postback links, to make everything work properly, to understand, from what campaign, zone, and creative came my conversions.

No, I don't use third party tool tracker, because I'm limited on budget, run only one traffic source (Propellerads), and don't run many offers. That why, I feel comfortable with statistics inside CPA network and PropellerAds tracker, but I still need help with getting cinversions tracking working, inside the PropellerAds tracker, inside my account.
