Question about Promoting TV on PC/Live Sports sites?

It seems as though they are shutting down a lot of these sites that offer streaming TV and sports. My question is can affiliates who have promoted these products in the past get in to trouble, or are they targeting the ones hosting?

If you promoted it in the past you probably have nothing to worry about...check out the digital millenium act but I am pretty sure as long as u don't host u are ok...
