One reason is because you want to have all your campaigns in one dashboard. You get information from the ad network, information from the tracker (about clicks, CTRs, engagement on the landing page, etc) and then you get information about sales from the affiliate network.

Another important reason is to have your own tracking and identify bot and proxy traffic.
In which case, you can use the tracker to redirect the bot /proxy traffic to some different paths, instead of going directly to the offer (and get penalized because you sent bot traffic).

Then you can use the tracker to keep the source of traffic hidden from your affiliate network and to split-test different landing pages and offers with only a few clicks, without changing the links on the traffic source.
