Slow offer's landing page

Hi there.

as on the beginning of my CPA journey, I grabbed an offer sweepstakes (win a trip).

Aff. Network: Maxbounty
Geo: Australia

With a speedtest tool I checked the loading time of both the "default landing page" and of my "offer link" (contextual tracking link).

Loading time
default landing page: 4.65s
contextual tracking link: 7.31s

As loading speed is important to convert sweepstakes offers (mobile and desktop), you don't think this loading time is too loooong?

Is this test useful to evaluate if an offer can convert easily?

Thanks!

I read in one of K's posts that you have less than five seconds to capture a visitor's interest, so of course faster is always better.

Are you using a CDN? What kind of hosting?

That is the point. Is not my pre-landing page on my hosting; is the offer page that can reach with Maxbountyìs offer link. So it's impossible to me to optimize that page of course.

No, you sure can't. Obviously, tracking is slowing you down a bit. Are you tracking a lot of variables?

When you have no control over the pages and links, it can be tough. I want to help you but I don't feel I have the expertise to offer you a solution with direct linking, sorry.

I think there is no solution to speedup this page. Is not a link from my tracking tool but the direct offer link from Maxbounty (the one I should add on my tracking) that I test just to check the loading speed on the specific GEO (AU).

mb102.com /lnk.asp?o=XXXXX&c=XXXXX&a=XXXXX&l=XXXXX

Sorry, when you said tracking link, I thought you meant from your tracker. And you're right, can't really do anything about that, as far as I know.

If your pre-sell is good enough then hopefully the user will be interested in the sweep, so the extra time, which is quite minimal, will not make too much difference. As long as the traffic is qualified enough and the user is going to sign up before they click the link, they probably won't mind the very slight delay.

On the other hand, the small percentage of people who will be affected will add up over time in terms of commission. Maybe speak to the network and ask them the check with the advertiser if you feel that this will cause a major issue with promoting the campaign. The advertiser will probably be grateful for the feedback.
