Nothing new from Gorkfu's list ... I think you should look for your requirements first and then search for plugins.

Installing unnecessary plugins will make your website slow, and look clamsy.

I use Google XML sitemaps, All in One SEO pack, Add Lightbox, WassUp, Popular posts, Wordpress.com Stats etc plugins in different websites.

From where i get Popular posts plugin ? I think i tried in past that plugin but not worked at that time for me. Don't know whats the reason

I just made my own little plugin today, kind of. It basically just grabs whatever I put in the post_excerpt, and then displays the page description meta. No excerpt, no meta.
