TikTok loses US Appeal

But the people (most) are not useless shits or self promoters like Musk's Twitmo has become.
I am not try to market something or make money there.

Yeah, maybe. I haven't scoped it out myself. Have you signed up on the platform and checked it out for yourself?

The social platforms have really become a total shit fest in my opinion. With the bullshit of cloaked competitors, the costs, restrictions, and blackhat affiliates causing difficulties for the whitehat players, etc., etc., I'm quickly becoming very disillusioned with FB. If these ad costs on FB get any more costly I'll be putting everything in Google. My returns on the big G are holding steady but FB has become more work and less productive.

yeah, been using it all month and ignoring X mushland. But i see some troubles brewing --just made my first Block. They are maintaining block lists you can add to smooth the sailing ;) community moderation is working rather well. It's a pleasant echo-chamber experience. unlike the trollverse that Twitter has become IMO.

Things change, some adapt :)

Have you tried:Bluesky
No, hadn't heard of it. It looks like Twitter X.
"Government censorship, scam accounts, celebrity impersonation, propaganda and a user revolt over a journalist accused of demonizing trans people — these are just some of the hurdles faced by the nascent social media platform Bluesky.
It's happening on YT, as well. Our own national broadcaster is one of the 'bad guys' claiming copyright ownership on videos they don't own, even the ones with watermarks of a different company on them.

What crazy times we're living in at the moment. Sure will be glad when things calm down.

So the King-Elect thinks he can command 'his' Supreme Court from the golden throne at Mourge-el-Fatso ???

We will have to see how this plays out

As I recall from his last reign, his appointments to the Supreme bench very much aligned with his ideals, or at least him.

MOSCOW, Dec 27 (Reuters) - A Russian court on Friday fined TikTok three million roubles ($28,929.60) after finding it guilty of failing to abide by Russian legal restrictions on distributing certain kinds of information, the Moscow courts' press service said.

Even the Russians -- get a load of what 3 million roubles is worth these days ...

They say current 170 Million US users.
Wasn't it not so popular in the US always?
If the Chinese government (as reported in Bloomberg) is considering selling TikTok to Musk --what does that tell you about Musk? What is the real quid pro quo here?

>>>"Occasionally, however, the Americans veered into riskier territory.
“Is it ok to ask about how laws are different in China versus Hong Kong?” one American user asked.
“We prefer not to talk about that here,” a Chinese user responded.
Such impromptu cultural exchanges were taking place all across RedNote, known in China as Xiaohongshu, as the app surged to the top of U.S. download rankings this week."<<<

Anyway, I'm already planning to move from TikTok to other fields, which is sad because I've been running TikTok before, and I've already created 5 accounts for it .
