I also think most webmasters already have their establised email address, changing establisehd email address is a big paid, there need to be a VERY VERY strong incentive for me to change my email address that I have been using for years.
Now with a name like UKWebmasterWorld.com , too long, if one has a good 3 character domain name its possible, people like fun email addresses that are also quite short.
A great idea would be to buy a load of domain names using peoples surnames, ie smith.com and market them as personalised emails... ie "john smith" see's this and buys john@smith.com for example for $x per year, now we all know you could have xxxx number of xxx@smith.com email addresses from one domain name or any surname for that matter so the potential is huge for someone.
I debated for a while but just don't have the time, nor the resources to set up a wesite with a suitable script.
Midlandi,
This idea is now new, its was done about 10 years ago when those domain extensions were still available, now as you know to get a decent domain name off the domain owner you have to pay through the nose and the project will not be that successful if the email addresses are too expensive.
Another guy did town and cities for example lets say you live in WalthamStow you can buy midlandi@walthamstow.co.uk or even the name of you street etc.

Attention: "role based name" email prefixes such as support, webmaster, info, contact, forum, service, affiliate, admin, traffic, partners, marketing, etc., for our member accounts are not permitted. They are acceptable for a vendor listing, but not for the member email. This is due to bulk email processors scrubbing them for delivery due to extremely high bounce rates. If we discover you signed up with a role based name we will give you only one message to change it. After 3 days your account will be removed if the email is not changed.
