US Elections --an AI Poll Result

What the title says^

We wrote about the two 19-year-old college dropouts, Cam Fink and Ned Koh, and Aaru, the company they co-founded with 15-year-old John Kessler, two months ago. They use census and other demographic data to create thousands of AI avatars of voters, each with hundreds of personality traits to model the humans they’re supposed to mimic. The bots (“agents”) are fed with a diet of news and information those people might consume, and then asked about their preferences — in this case, who they would vote for. Fink and Koh say the tests they’ve run show their system is incredibly accurate — and much cheaper and faster to run than traditional polling.

Read that article and the results

Well, we know the results now. Maybe not every vote is counted yet but they've called it and he has given his victory speech.

If only bots vote, this will be one close election — and a narrow Kamala Harris victory.

It was very close for a while, the AI was right about that, just a different final outcome.

15 year old kids developing something like that is very impressive to me! When I was that age, we were still learning what algebra was. :rofl

Anyway, kudos to those teens. Clapping

The American voter, on a whole, is very simple minded.
First they vote with their Wallet of shopping list.
Wait until they see what the promised tariffs will do.

What's additionally scary is the fact that half the citizens actually support these two (et al). It speaks volumes to me.

I couldn't listen to his speech, I can't stand the sound of his voice. Nor that of our Crime Prime Minister.

There are a lot of Canadians very happy that he won, with freedom and economic improvement being their main reasons. They seem to think that will make it easier for things to improve here and Trump will help us.

Trump wants a world-wide imported goods tariff. This would include NAFTA counties also.
For US Americans: Tariffs increase the cost of goods.

Tariffs are applied like VAT or a COGS, in a consumer pricing model, in that tariffs are not a line item in a bill of sale --the tariff is a part of the 'build' price.

Temu might be a good first target. Walmart and Amazon will like that. Of course, Walmart and Amazon are big marketplace sellers of imported goods. So as you can see --both importers and sellers will become victims.

Tariffs increase the cost of goods.

Our official opposition leader often brings that up in debate in the House of Commons, along with the ridiculous carbon tax, which is going up to 61 cents per litre, I forget when and how much it is now. Just the initial tax portion, which is included in the price per litre of gas. Then GST tax is added to the whole. So, tax on tax, which is more than the price of the gas. It applies to natural gas and oil heating, as well.

Those costs are on top of any tariffs that suppliers have to pay for any cross-border purchases, so it ain't a pretty scenario for many.

The Prime Minister has been asked to step down but he refuses to go.

in the price per litre of gas.
Buy an EV --my little Nissan Leaf has been $0.05 USD a mile in 'fuel' costs charging at home (I pay $0.18 per kWh)--that 's the equivalent of $0.20 a mile in gasoline costs when driving my old Buick. If you fast charge here at a commercial public charging station --the cost would be $0.12 a mile equivalent. They did clip me for an additional $126 for the EV annual registration fee --to replace the state tax on fuel pumped (6%)
There is no way in hell that I drive 34K mile/year

Total rip-off by the State

And this is what Space Karen Elon Musk is backing? I guess we will deal with it somehow.

I guess we will deal with it somehow.

Let's all pool our resources and buy a large island, declare our own country, and watch our north Americas destroy one another. Trump wil, further divide not just us, but the other nations when able.

To expensive to maintain a fleet and a surface to air defense. You need minions to tax to be a sovereign.

All Hail the New Emperor!

DRUMP says he will just pay off the National Debt with Bitcoin --I think he must have RFK Jr's brain worm now ...

Buy an EV
I've wondered many times how you made out with that.

We have no charging stations where I live, plus I live in an apartment tri-plex with no outside plug. I would have to drive 20 - 30 minutes to hopefully find a station.

Love the idea, I'm in!
DRUMP says he will just pay off the National Debt with Bitcoin
Really? Huh! I missed that news flash. Well, I guess your problems are solved, then. :rofl

Since Elon Musk and Peter Thiel are Trump cronies I may be developing my, long withheld, adult broadcast DAO using smart contracts for transactions. This is if; there is a commonplace inclusion of the crypto exchange environment that expands to a be real merchantable alternative to VISA net.

AI "gets it :D"

AI is still in the learning stages but AI's knowledge is increasing exponentially.

AI is a machine for now. From the thread topic --AI did not predict that we are destined to be in Republican "Majority" country for a while, at the very least. The predictive model was wrong --hindsight.
