Visitors IP address to country

IP 2 Country
Resolve your visitors IP address with IP 2 country, a little PHP script that resolves the IP address of your visitor to the country they are coming from. You can then personalize your greetings to them or serve them pages was especially created for visitors from that country.

You can use it for some serious webmastering or just for fun like we have done on UK Webmaster World homepage.

here is one better: geolocation script (free) - this uses adult friend finder's targeted advertising (which is bloody expensive).

what does that mean? not only can you find out country but location (in order to display you the nearest matching person).

Maxmind's GeoIP has a very nice API for doing this kind of thing.
