Hello guys,

Based on your experience so far, as an affiliate or advertiser, what two lessons (preferably, positive and negative) can you offer a newbie?

P/S: Let's all learn from everyone's experiences since one may pick up a lesson or two and avoid being a victim of negative lessons and take advantage of the positive lessons.

I agree with the 80/20 rule but would insist on my fellow entrepreneurs to be smart in ensuring the theory works in their favor as it suggests;
  • 20% of your clients pay 80% of your income.
  • 20% of your output produces 80% of your income.
  • 20% of your time produces 80% of your income.

I can write 7 mistakes and after this you can make your personal lessons :)
1 . Sell, not help
2. Use too many affiliates
3. Do not test
4 . Do not track
5 . Do not compare
6. Lies about earnings to sell
7. Distracted by new and untested partners

Number 6 is just unethical and it dawns down to a person's character. Great points though. Thanks for pointing them out!

You could go from making $900/day to washing dishes in a hot kitchen if you don't save your damn money. When it starts going well, it will feel like it will never stop, but it can, and most of the time it will.
