Start by providing a service. A service could mean making websites for others, writing articles. doing miscellaneous gigs on Fiverr and so on. Once you have a money flowing in then you can plan your next step. You need money if you want to use paid traffic.
When you start with paid traffic begin with a cheap platform where you can afford to lose money. In fact be prepared to lose money and don't really count it as a loss because it is data that you have collected and lessons that you have learnt.
Youtube and SEO take time and will not bring you immediate cash. SEO may take months and even years before you start seeing a few hundred dollars - changes in the dos and don'ts in SEO are becoming more and more dynamic. It's like trying to shoot a moving target.
Using paid traffic with CPA is the best and fastest. But of course you need money to get started. When I started I had my old day job that paid the bills and some more...

Affiliate marketing requires individuals of great tenacity to push harder against all odds until they get expected result
First of all needed is great knowledge and understanding to where to start!
It isn't about money from the first if you don't have any idea to what to work on and where. Study the market, do some research and find specific niche to work on. There are multiple platforms like tiktok, fb, etc that can be used to engage customer through short posting organically. If anyone has no money, its betters to understand the market and find a way out to make money with such platforms!
It's a hard process if you're doing it organic, but eventually it pays off!

Well be consistent each day
Even if you spend 2 hours daily working be sure to work everyday ,inconsistency its one of the biggest reason of failing
Try to dive into paid traffic
Free traffic its also good but it can take you months to see some results and you are not sure of constant traffic
Paid traffic its the way to go as you can test and you can see results the next day
Build an email list
Your youtube channel or blog can be deleted if not google can give an altgoritm where it takes all your traffic
The same with social media accounts
And you can take a hammer in your head as you can wake up after so many years effort with zero traffic and income
But with an email list its yours and nobody can take it from you

For beginners without a budget for paid traffic, I would recommend starting with creating quality content on YouTube and blogs, as well as optimizing this content for search engines (SEO). This will help you build organic traffic and an audience without significant investments.
