Particular one site will never help you to get high rankings in fact your social likes and shares helps as a good signal to search engines, So for higher rankings you need to have a good social presence in all of the sites and also need a good on page and off page seo.
Of course FB has a greater influence over others as long as you have a durable and popular FB Page dedicated to your sites SEO. I would add another two or three of the top ten social platforms and select them according to the needs of the sites. If you have a video site, you surely want to include YouTube. If you have a content site, you surely want to add G+, if you have a political site, you surely want to add twitter and maybe SnapChat. You get the idea.
Social site is not good for keyword ranking.

Facebook is the most user influencing platform nowadays, Google may give more weightage to Google Plus in near future, Also Twitter enables to connect with world politicians, movie industry stars and major influential people of the world. So it better to engage with those platforms to increase the keyword rank.
