survey junkie is a widely run and known brand with its surveys.
so you should be bringing something special to the table for persuading users to complete these surveys.
looking for an attractive prelander could be a good start.
also you may search for 'survery junkie' within this forum and check topics related to this search.
you will probably come across with some tips and clues.

Usually just need to make a bit more creatives and analyse what converts better. Try to change landings or add some pre-lands. Check if your targeting set up properly. Right daytime is very important, if you scale volumes of traffic at the evening you will reach a way better result.

Try split testing,

A/B split testing is testing of multiple variants of offer creatives.

Split testing can be done at the landing page level or heading level or image-level or video level.

Let me explain this in detail. Consider, I want split testing at the landing page level. So I will create two different variations of landing page with different styles and designs. The next step is to send equal traffic to both variants. After a couple of days, I will compare conversion rates and will continue with a page having maximum conversion rate and will kill other landing pages with lower conversation rates.

The same approach can be applied to different components of the campaign.

A/B split testing plays a very important role in the testing phase to discover winning creatives and to run a successful campaign.

That can be many reason
1.Offers,
2.audiences
3.country
4.landing page and more

The right remark mentioned above about scaling volumes of traffic during the evenings. I remember I messed with it during the launch of one of my projects and I was prioritizing traffic during night and morning in my region. I prepared for this campaign. I even worked with Awesomic to get a top-notch design for my landing pages and banner ads. Everything was ready, money invested, all's great, and no conversion. I was extremely sad and confused but thankfully this mistake was noticed quickly and the client wasn't that upset about it.

I bought traffic from 10 different PPC networks, not going to name them...
Always sending to a prelander with a simple link to the actual offer, in order to sort the traffic.
The offer was a high converting one, i have seen sources on it converting at 1/35 - 1/90. PPL.

Out of these 10 different PPC network, 10 of them were shit quality traffic.
Not 9.
10.
Most of them produced literaly $0.00, some produced a few $$ but it was like 10% ROI.
I spent $100 on each, at the most i made $10 back.

It was not the flow, it was not the offer.
It was the traffic. Either shit quality, fake traffic, bot, or just people not interested in the offer.
My opinion is it was fake traffic and bots, but since i can not prove it, i won't insist on that.
But still, that's what i truly think ;)

I came to the conclusion that buying traffic on these network is basically throwing away money
you will not make anything out of purchased traffic
You have to generate your traffic other ways
My 2 cents

  • Your post is off topic, not congruent with the OP's thread here. You are hijacking the thread.
  • If paid traffic doesn't work, then all of us buying traffic would not be earning. If paid traffic didn't work, then there would be no traffic companies, they would all go out of business immediately.
    • I spend low six figures annually with my content sites and my CPA business. I took the time to learn to use my tracker to identify where bad traffic comes from and then I block the bad traffic. I think you are not using a tracker or don't understand how to make it function with paid traffic.
    • I have been using paid traffic since October of 2000 when Google's self serve platform started and have always done quite well with it.
    • Paid traffic is the easiest and most successful traffic for our businesses and it has never failed me.

I can second this, although I'm still new to affiliate marketing specifically cpa, I can say ppc is the best way to generate sales, leads etc. SEO is good but takes lots of time, if you want fast results ppc is the way to go. My only real experience with paid ads are push notifications, I've tested a 4 push networks and 1 has produced bad quality traffic (not going to name it) the rest have been fine.

100% disagree, people make 7 figures yearly by running paid traffic whether that be through google, facebook, bing etc. Did you optimise your campaign's? Test lots of creatives? Did you edit your pre-lander when you saw the results? Use a tracker?
I spent $100 on each, at the most i made $10 back.
IMO this is not enough to test a traffic source or test an offer. You spent $100 on data, data which can be used to optimise your campaigns and turn a negative ROI to a positive one. With this budget for each network or offer it's a complete gamble if you lose your money or make a profit. It would of been wiser to spend $300 on 3 popular, trusted networks, this gives you more to spend on testing. Instead you have essentially wasted $100 and resorted to complain and blame the traffic source. Their job is to provide the traffic, it's your job to convince the user to convert.

You said yourself: the one and only lesson : never give up :)

Although you have done exactly that, only you can make your campaigns profit.

Such a good point
@Binom Tracker mentioned this in follow (part 1)

To run traffic, you must spend money.
And you WILL lose money. That money will get you some data.
You will also look at that data using the best tracker on the planet (Binom, of course ;) ).
You will adjust your traffic. And eventually, you will make more money than you lose.

It even applies to SEO
Since I spent my 2nd month over 420 hours (30 days x 14 hours/day) trying to see what content ranked and got impressions/clicks/sales
That time investment of $4,200 ($10/hour) was not repaid in full until 5 months later
On cost-to-benefit-ratio that month was a heavy loss in revenue, but a valuable data journey

Try doing it like this:
Use your webserver logs:

Every request has a set of fields in your server log;

location ~* \.(jpg|jpeg|gif|css|png|js|ico|html)$ {
access_log on;
^^ /etc/nginx this is a conf for Nginx (I haven't worked on Apache in years)
mod_log_config - Apache HTTP Server Version 2.2
%f Filename <you want that

With Nginx you delete the file extention you want to log
location ~* \.(jpeg|gif|css|png|js|ico)$ {
**jpeg and png depending on the images you are using

so the first .html request will be with the referrer google.com|bing|[other search engine] the image is the on with that page as the requesting .html file.

so now you can track the referral and what page and by the image (name) you can deduce the item

You need to learn to read and sort the logs.

grep -i 'google.com' access.log| grep -iv 'bot'

grep [text pattern search GNU-LINUX Core Utilities]
-i [case insensitive] -v remove 'pattern'
access.log <file to be searched

grep -i 'google.com' access.log| grep -iv 'bot' |cut -d" -f2-4| sort|uniq -c| sort -nr

grep -i 'google.com' x-xxxxx-2017-access.log| grep -iv 'bot' |cut -d'"' -f2,4| sort|uniq -c| sort -nr

Code:
logs$ grep -i 'google.com' December-2017-access.log| grep -iv 'bot' |cut -d'"' -f2,4| sort|uniq -c| sort -nr

this takes 10 minutes in real time not 100's of hours.

maybe you can do something like this with Windows power shell (low power :D) IDK

If you have a server and can work in SSH this will work fine ;)

why go through the work of creating a landing page from an affilate product that already has a landing page? why not just invest time and money into one of the other billion affilate products?

seems to me like the landing page and getting emails, should be for other type of things

Pay me $20 for my 10 minutes and I'll email the report back. Offer made in jest -- but that is only the referral clicks but that info gives you the user IP, time, device and the google search country domain (or the referrer + tour parameters in your URL). Passing a parameter in the referral URL to the offer/(item) will allow you to tack the actual user end-to-end.

No Google product will be that detailed --it's 3rd party data and regulated or truncated (not shown or deleted to NULL).
