I haven't used WP for almost eight years now. It was a convenience, but left it as soon as I could afford using a dev guy to code my sites.

You will be forced to update your WordPress in time as they will no longer provide security updates.
The most current MySQL is 8.x on servers hopefully a database from 5.x can be reinstalled.

i dont like wordpress, very lag, you need alot of plugins to make it load faster.
