Best graphics program?

Paul_KY, stay cool ...this is one of the biggest Open Source project, is also included in any Linux release. If you trust ADOBE you can trust GIMP too. I have tried, and many others and e can't say nothing bad about.
You can take a look at the site: gimp.org

Let us know impressions if you will try, actually I wait feedback from anyone who try GIMP :) Post your opinions guys.

Cristi,
But other people argue that its Corel yet other argue that it Fireworks or Gimp. I think it just depends on what you find easy to learn, I actually prefer Image ready as the main Photoshop is to huger, just loading it alone seem to take forever

I use Photoshop daily for images and usually import vector based text from Illustrator.

Same here !

I think that Photoshop is the best software for editing and makeing designs. Nothing compare with photoshop. Of course it is not very easy to use from the begining but in time it can be more useful like any other soft, because it makes all that other soft can do :)

Just out of curiosity what exactly did you miss in Gimp that you had in Photoshop... ? I'm really curious... :)

hmmm, I didn't tell that something miss in Gimp (because I don't know Gimp) but tell me what Gimp can do and Photoshop can't :)

Do you use fireworks Duke ?

Actually not that often, in fact, virtually never. I have a good understanding of PS so I never put any time into fireworks.

Do you like fireworks better, and if so, why?

Duke,
I sort of use fireworks more, I think its because my previous employer only provided fireworks at work and I had to use it for over one year and after using a took for a while you sort of get used to it. I don't it because I think its better than PS.
