Independent and stand alone wordpress CMS. Why would I run a website on a network like Blogger or Wordpress.com

For new bloggers, Blogspot is the best platform to learn more thing from code editing to Blog promotion. After few months, try to migrate the blog from Blogspot to Self-hosted WordPress is good thing. Personally i am suggesting self-hosted WordPress is right choice if you spend money at initial stage of the blogging.

If you are talking about wordpress.org, then it is MUCH more better for SEO than blogger. If you are talking about wordpress.com, than blogger might be better for SEO, although it has less customization.
