Honestly, I really doubt that.. Or, better say, one should understand think abt this info in a more complex light.

Actually, supervising the telco, ecommerce markets i see that demand for traditional consultants is diminishing. On the other hand, if you mean a "consultant" is not an add-on but a substitute to let say in-house marketing specialist, then yes, i agree with that. Industries just swap the in-house specialists to outsource "consultants" to minimize the costs.
