Email Marketing

It does not have to point to a website but make sure you have an SSL certificate for the domain so it's an https and not HTTP. Not having a secure domain can hurt your email deliverability. I use a marketing automation software that masks my links and keeps my emails in the inbox and out of the spam folder.

I haven't used them personally but I have heard a few people buying lots of AWS accounts to setup SES accounts on them as they do have good deliverability but the thing is they are very strict on what kind of stuff they allow and bounce rates, complaints etc. Many people get their account banned in 1-2 drops.

If you don't mind, could you please tell me which software are you using?

Yea this helps with deliverability very much ,for example if you get an aweber account you have the option to set your custom domain and will help to prevent emails going to spam

If you already have a website, it is best to use it. Although I'm not sure how much this is really necessary in email marketing. The website can serve as a convenient source of information for new customers.
