Google search is a mess really for this (affiliate e-commerce).
affiliate commission average (day) $0.71
That's like $0.071 epc off SEO traffic --WTF?
Maybe, just a bad day ... happens...
Statistically 1:10 is very good.

If that is a one-time conversion commission ...IDK
I forgot how long it takes to get paid :-(
your talkin like 4 months
Credit card sales are not final for 180 days. To my thinking, at least for established affiliates, 45-60 days hold-back is enough. Really, they are using your money for working capital (cash-flow) normally merchants get paid by processors in 48hrs. That is excessive IMO.

Affiliates need working capital too ...

Chasing down the "Fish in a Barrel Strategy" this morning --I found this:

Only roll when:
  1. There is a chance of success
  2. There is a chance of failure
  3. There is a cost to failure
What they left out is the reward of success. Or, risk evaluation.

"When it comes to low-hanging fruit, it’s generally good to be lazy. Your cost of acquisition is much higher for high-hanging fruit."

"low-hanging fruit" Are customers, (viewers or referrals), that are looking for `something`. Your term might be solution to some problem.

By limiting your possible sales conversions to just the finding of easy lay-down sales you may be only capturing 1/3 or less of your potential conversions. That, my friend, is the difference between order taking and selling. People want to be sold on an idea or decision --and be able to say to themselves: "I am doing the right thing!" Never forget that ;)

Conclusions: Widen your net and address the things people want to hear and not just what software data says ...

How much Halloween stuff have you sold?

This is when dynamic web site and product feeds matter.
You can populate items fast and then add some content text around the items.
Same with other holiday buys and events.
