Hi everyone,

Been here form many years but always been silent, maybe wasn't really committed on getting started. I've worked in AM as affilaite manager in the past, and finally thinking to make a move and be on my own, so was wondering what kind of budget I should consider in 2025 in order to get (serious) started in AM? Not sure about the niche yet, maybe leadgen sweesptakes, or home improvements, also health and beauty could be an option. I'm considering mostly to buy traffic, not blogging or producing content.

Also please advice on best niche to start wth, if any.

Thanks in advance

This is all dependent on the types of niches and advertising you plan on as well as the tools you will invest in like trackers, server, intelligence subscriptions, and so forth.

You need to develop a plan before you can determine the budget.

please advice on best niche

There are literally hundreds of sub niches to choose from. You should get an intelligence subscription and review what is producing well. Additionally, your affiliate managers can give you some guidance about what offers they are working with which are currently generating sustainable conversions. I don't recommend affiliate programs this early in your startup business as they require a bit more experience, investment, and more planning and testing than with CPA and network offer promotional structures.

What types of offers and niches were working well when you wee an affiliate manager?

Hi TJ, thanks for responding on this.

Back then, nutra and sweepstakes, were blasting, but I know of other verticals that were doing good too. COD in some geo too.

I can cover server server costs, domain, website and landing page, etc., but what do you mean by intelligence subscription? Spy tools?

Going through networks is a better idea initially you mean?

Also, let's suppose I want to go for nutra/sweepstakes, what kind of traffic/traffic source I should be looking for since Meta does not allow these?

Yes, you have. It's just about 10 days now until your 8th joining anniversary.

As this is an Introduction thread, I just popped in to say welcome out into the open. :D

thanks everyone for the welcome and for chipping in.

as for the plan, here's where I am so far.

I am choosing between personal development and AI products. These seem to be quite competitive right now.

I am looking into FB ads, but as far as I understand, meta does not allow affililiate products? is that right? Are there other traffic sources that allow affiliate products, or do I need to build a blog where to send traffic and then hope that they click the links/banners or a lander would be enough to go round the ban?

What I would say is that you should consider if whatever niche you want to start with is an "evergreen" niche?

Hey there!

First of all, congratulations on taking the first step toward starting your own affiliate marketing journey! It's exciting to see you transition from affiliate manager to an entrepreneur!

Best advice: Choose a niche that excites you! Success is easier when you’re genuinely interested and passionate about what you’re promoting. Keep testing and optimizing, and most importantly, stay consistent.

Hello!

Awesome to see you taking the leap into affiliate marketing on your own! With your background as an affiliate manager, you’ve already got a solid foundation to build on.

When it comes to budget, it really depends on the traffic source and niche you choose, but the key is to start with an amount you’re comfortable testing with and scale as you gather data. Focus on one niche first, run tests, and optimize based on performance.

And when you're ready to dive in, we as a tracker would love to help you optimize your future campaigns - tracking, analyzing, and fine-tuning your traffic can make all the difference.

Wishing you all the success in your journey - keep pushing forward!
