There are a million ways to find hot selling products.
The most common ways, just looking at AliExpress and other sites and watch the “Bestsellers”, is not that good in my opinion. Reason being that you basically enter the markets with the highest competition this way.

I personally use the following tools/techniques:
- Google Trends helps you identifying emerging trends and with good timing you can enter a market before its peak
- Google Adwords has a built in keyword planner that gathers information about the search volumes for different keywords, that you can use to gain knowledge about hot selling items and niches
- Newsletters on all major B2B sites like Alibaba, Globalsources etc. This way your inbox may get spammed (use an email thats not frequently used) but you get a lot of ideas on what to sell.
