Most, if not all, cold emails are not creditable or worth the time.

We used to get those all the time at my dad's business. I found the ones that aren't fluent in English the most entertaining. They use exaggerated words and terminology. "You are a most fabulous lighting business," "We can give the most best prices and deliver orders to your excellent beautiful store tremendously fast." That sort of thing.

Entertainment value aside, I wouldn't trust them even a little bit and definitely not with any information of any kind. As the guys said, delete them.

I feel you! Most cold emails can be pretty cringe-worthy. If you do want to respond, keeping it short and to the point works best. Something like, "Thanks for reaching out, but I'm not interested," can get the message across without any hassle.

Here's the thing, if you click anything in a cold email sent to you it can launch an attack on your device if it was a malicious email.

Now we have had for many years "spoofed" emails. They may appear to come from a trusted source, but are actually malicious and many dangerous. All of us must be using anti-virus and anti-malware applications that are integrated into our email platforms and/or services to help stem these issues.

I don't worry much about that ... LINUX Desktop

What I do worry about is the snake that sent me the spam knows I am here and responded --they sell you to lists and you get a spam avalanche. LINUX is not impenetrable, but for reason that LINUX desktop is such a small population, it not a real system target.
