Hello everyone,

I am a software engineer interested in starting my journey in affiliate marketing. My first question is: Where do affiliate marketers typically find products to promote? There are many pages out there that contain fake offers or products so you need to choose the right one.

Which platform is the best one?

Thank you in advance!

I don't think saying *fake* is best.
Finding an offer that will be seen by most as a fair to good value is what make the difference.

I'll give you an example: a novelty idea, stainless steel repair plates for furniture frames, shelves etc. I saw this advertised on twitter (X), this seemed useful to me. The social media ad was $19.95 /package of 20 --they sell the same thing at Amazon Prime for $6.99 a package. I bought a pack of 20 there. Good idea in the ad --bad value. Selling the idea an not getting the sale is the salesman's dilemma.

This about selling a product --one that is a commodity --quality being the same --the price matters. Many affiliate offers I have seen are overpriced and not a fair value in the marketplace. If you expect to find and retain affiliates, you must not only have a good product (or service), you must deal fairly with your affiliate. If you don't do that your reputation will precede you and you will fail with affiliates.

AffiliateFix has many verified affiliate networks, and affiliate programs, to choose from. This verification is only that they seem to be responsible and appear to be legitimate. But this is a good start it's staring you right in the face in the top menu bar ...

to find quality products to promote, many affiliates turn to trusted networks like ClickBank, CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, and Rakuten Marketing. These platforms vet their offers and provide a wide range of products across niches, helping you avoid fake or low-quality offers. Each has different specialties, so choose one that aligns with your target market.

Do you have a niche yet, or are you open to exploring various options?

  1. Amazon Associates: One of the largest and most well-known affiliate programs. It offers a vast range of products across different categories, making it easy for marketers to find relevant products to promote.
  2. ShareASale: A popular affiliate marketing network that connects advertisers with affiliates. It features thousands of merchants in various niches, providing a wide choice of products.
  3. CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction): A well-established affiliate network that offers products from numerous well-known brands. It provides tools for tracking performance and optimizing campaigns.
  4. Rakuten Marketing: This platform connects affiliates with leading global brands, offering diverse products. Rakuten provides a user-friendly interface and detailed reporting tools.
  5. ClickBank: Great for digital products, ClickBank specializes in ebooks, online courses, and software. It is particularly popular among those in niche markets.
  6. Impact Radius: This platform focuses on providing a comprehensive affiliate management solution, helping brands to connect with affiliates and track their performance.
  7. Awin: A global affiliate network with a broad range of products and services, Awin has various merchants in different industries, making it a versatile choice for affiliates.
  8. FlexOffers: Offers access to many advertisers and a wide variety of products, promoting both physical and digital goods.
  9. eBay Partner Network: eBay’s affiliate program allows affiliates to promote eBay listings and earn commissions on sales generated through their referrals.
  10. Own Brand Programs: Many companies have their own affiliate programs that may not be listed on networks. Marketers can research brands they love or use and check if they have an affiliate program available.

Hey ,

Here are a few tips to help you get started:
1. Affiliate Networks: Check out platforms like ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, and Rakuten Marketing. They have a bunch of great products, and the best part is that they do a lot of the vetting for you, so you can feel confident in what you’re promoting.

2. Niche-Specific Programs: Think about your interests and skills. There are tons of niche-specific affiliate programs out there. For tech and software, platforms like AppSumo are goldmines!

3. Do Your Homework: Always take a little time to research. Looking at reviews from other affiliate marketers can help you avoid those sketchy offers. Forums like this one are fantastic for finding honest opinions.

4. Promoting Software Tools: Since you’re in tech, you might love promoting tools that can really help others. I’d recommend checking out ReplyPilot! It’s a fantastic tool for automating social media replies and boosting engagement. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share more about the affiliate program—it could be a great fit for you!

5. Connect with the Community: Engaging with communities like AffiliateFix is a great way to learn. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and share what you discover along the way!

Remember, the key is to choose products that you’re excited about. Authenticity really makes a difference in this game!

Wishing you the best of luck on your affiliate journey! Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

Cheers!
