This is the ugly truth: if you are not among the top 10 results in Google, then your website is probably invisible on Google. To rank well in SERPs, you must optimize your page titles for search engines. SEO title optimization is an important factor that search engines use to determine the relevance of your page to a given search query. Therefore, if you want to increase your rankings, you must pay attention to these practices for SEO title optimization:
  • Keep it 55-60 characters long
  • Use target keywords
  • Describe the content of your page optimally
  • Use numbers
  • Words like how, why, what and where are more appealing
  • Include your brand name
  • Give every page a unique title
  • Use the current year or month
  • Grab attention by providing curiosity, benefit and emotion

Your title should be recallable from the user's history if you want repeat visits and the resulting natural link-backs.
Titles are not all about SEO spam or your ego branding efforts.
Branding is developed via media awareness; or for the reason of repeated use due to user satisfaction.

  • Give each page its own unique title.
  • Tailor the title to the user's intent.
  • The meta title should be between 15 and 40 characters long.
  • Be sure to include your primary keyword.
  • Meta titles with questions have a higher clickthrough rate (CTR)

Describe your page content in the best possible way. Use words like HOW, WHY, WHAT, and WHERE - help people understand what they will find on the page. Use words like BEST, REVIEW, and ULTIMATE - entice users to click. Write unique titles, no duplicates!

Create pages for specific questions
The more specific you pages the higher they will rank
Each page should provide the best answer
Check Semrush that enough people are asking the question
Meta title should be the exact question for your target audience
Different audiences ask the same question in different ways
Ask the question again in the 1st paragraph a different way
For example
Meta title and page title: "What is the scariest halloween mask?"
1st paragraph: "Are you looking for the scariest halloween mask? Here is a list of the top 10 scariest halloween masks for halloween 2021."
For maximum effect create a unique landing page for each mask
Each page should be better than the top 3 pages on Google combined
Time consuming but relatively straight forward
