Mobile Pop Journey 2017 - Finally Green

Anthony.

Well-Known Member
Hey everyone, I've decided to start a journey on my venture into mobile pop traffic.
From what I've read here I see a lot of people either give up, stop updating threads or on the other hand, some never give up and they keep going which is good. Giving up is not an option for me I want to hit my goals and I will do anything to get there.

I've slowly come away from FB doing inconsistent 4 figure days, facing bans etc and setting me back to square 1. Looking for more stability and progression, with mobile I see the only way is up, moving towards my ultimate goal of hitting 1M. FB however, everything seems well then you get slammed with no reasons and you are back to the beginning with No knowledge/skillset/mindset improvements, maybe some extra cash, but that's not everything.

After getting Adplexity & Voluum and a lot of research and learning I am making this thread to post my progress for myself and others, especially for me to look back on in the future to say "look where I started".

Hopefully, some of you can drop in some advice now and then, would be appreciated and not a waste of your time because I will keep updating this post and I will never give up.

On the other hand, if anyone needs to know more about what I post, except for the sensitive stuff, just ask.

My first main focus is to start small while learning to analyze and improve.

Spy Tool: Mobile Adplexity <- Signup here to save $50/mo! ($199 -> $149)
Vertical: Sweeps

So for the past couple of days I have been sending SG traffic. On my aff network, here are the stats of 5 offers:

Voluum:

The one with 0 clicks, is a direct link.
Is it time to switch to a new country? Maybe SG just has bad offers.
I've tried different traffic sources, LP's, 5 offers, a few angles, with and without aggressive tactics, filtered out bot traffic and all of those clicks should be (mostly) human.
Any tips would be great!

So far from starting mobile pop these are my stats altogether:

I don't really care much yet for showing everything as I'm not anywhere special and I am of course still learning. Does anyone have any advice on what to stick at, what to do when stuff just does not convert etc?
Looking back at my stats, should I of stuck to Greece in the AV vertical... That was my first ever campaign.

$6.8 per conversion is high, you can't build statistical significance based on only 1 conversion. If you think that offer deserves a chance, then focus on that one, run traffic for at least 5x the offer (30 dollars). Try to run the offer during the whole day 24hours as it can help you later find out what times it convert better. Also, you could ask your AM about the best converting carrier and split test carriers and wifi traffic. Are you running carrier traffic only for that Greece offer (as often pin submit offers would convert well on a single carrier better)? What is your offer selection process? Did you randomly pick these or did you talk to your AM ? It is recommended to rotate mutiple offers on a proven lander to find the most best performing offer first. Also, try to avoid testing in both propeller ads and popads simutaneously. Start with one traffic source. Sorry I did edit this message but tried to include as much info for you as possible.

Hi, thanks for your reply. That GR campaign was my first ever pop campaign, I use adplexity and just used what was working and chose a matching GR offer from my network. I've been given tips from my AM but it turns out bad, he is checking it out.

Sometimes I've rotated 5 offers on a lander in a specific GEO and never get conversions from any, while using a proven lander after extensive research on adplexity.

Which out of the 2 do you suggest, propeller or popads?
I've spent a lot so far and because i've changed verticals / countries etc It's not like I've benefited from it like buying data, I can't add it all up and progress because it's different stuff.

Sorry for the late reply.

Both work, with adplexity you can check which offers are running in which pop network and select one accordingly to your offer. Also, traffic volume per country is different, so depending on the country you are promoting you will use or the other.

But usually, i've had success with both, propeller doing well with casino CPL offers. Popads literally let you run anything you want even aggressive lander such as ''your phone has been infected by a virus'' type.

Regarding, the ad spending, you need to focus in offer selection, rotating a proven lander. In order to be able to gather enough data and be able to scale afterwards, you need to select a tier 3 country that has both a high enough volume (brazil, indonesia, thailand etc..) and a low enough cpa (between 0.5 to $1 per conversion).

Thanks a lot for the advice, I seem to still waste time looking deeper into the less important things.

So should you not be the next negative example!!
Looking forward for your updates.

Hey guys, so I'm back in a routine now after being jet lagged from Bangkok and getting prepared for xmas. I will be updating the thread often from now on. Anyone know why my popads campaign is still pending approval after 3 days? This is very unreliable, if my campaign is time sensitive and they take this long I am re-thinking about who I use as a traffic source.

Also looking at my previous posts here, I had no strategy. I am going to build a strategy of my own which will help me determine the best of everything such as angles, landing pages, offers and then optimize deeper once I have a winner with those 3 combined before scaling.

EDIT, as I am just starting out I think the best/easiest thing for me to start with is direct linking, just read a post from www.affiliatesuccess.com about direct linking. I think this will be a good way for me to get my feet wet and become familiar with analysing data and improving. Pretty straight forward but it will help me understand the importance of offer testing while also learning how to profit & understand the time sensitivity of offers how long they last etc.

Hey @Anth24 awesome journey. I'm doing a similar journey to you :) I started doing direct linking but I was using smartlinks and the variables were too much. It would be better to stick with 1 country instead of finding 100 that don't convert for the offer.

Direct linking gives you really good experience in tracking, optimizing, cutting targets etc.. Plus I think it's fun creating profitable campaigns.

Good luck! Keep us posted.

Yeah that's good to hear, I feel like this will be fun also while learning to improve and yeah becoming familiar with things, rather than jumping in the deep end with so much to test, optimize, analyse etc with lp's, offers, networks and so on. Where is your thread so I can follow :)

Still, if you’re getting any glitch while synchronizing process. So, you can contact Yahoo Mail Tech Support Number to resolve your query at earliest. Our technical team will surely assist your query with the desired solution via Phone, Live Chat, and Email session.

Wrong thread? Or spam?

Still running offers tests, spent $50 so far, testing 20 offers. The payouts are within 0.25 - 0.70 so I plan to spend $5 each offer before knowing whether or not it's a good one.
So far had a few conversions, some quicker than others. Gonna let it run.
Also messed up with postbacks, forgot I made a new custom tracking domain and forgot to change on my aff network.
Will keep updating, hopefully narrow down to an offer and be in the optimizing stage soon.
